Cabled Networks allow for speeds up to 100Mbs or up to 1000Mbs using Fibre Optic networking.  The most common network in existence is the 10BaseT Network (100Mbs) and you will find these in most offices and schools.
 
We can provide a fully featured network solution for you either with or without a Server.
 
We do suggest a Server is installed, but are very aware that some small businesses do not necessarily require, or cannot justify the cost of a server, so we have developed a solution specifically for small businesses that still allow data sharing and facilitate a basic Corporate Backup Solution.

The Standard for today's networking is Cat 5e to TIA/EIA 568A or 568B Standard. 
 
These standards were introduced to ensure that all systems throughout the world operated on the same principles.
 
As you can see from the pictures below, there are two types of cable termination for a Cat5 Cable.
 
If you were to use wire a cable with a 568A on one end and a 568B on the other end, then you would have what is called a "crossover cable".  These cables are particularly useful if you wish to just transfer data between 2 Computers.
 
To connect a computer to a network, then we could use a a cable with 2 568B plugs on each end and then connect them to a combination of hubs, switches and/or servers.

However, to ensure flexibility and also neatness, cables are run (normally out of view) and them terminated in a Patch Panel, and then in a Module Box at the other end. 
 
This allows for Departmental Moves, PC Relocation etc as if a Department was to move then it would be a simple matter of just repatching the Patch Panel to change the socket to a phone number for example.
