Maintaining a continuous backup strategy is crucial to your business in the event of hackers, viruses, or such natural disasters as fire, flooding or lightning strikes

The single most important feature of any Disaster Recover plan is to maintain quality data backups........

We can liaise with you to create a Disaster Recovery plan which can be implemented in the event of such a disaster.

There are 2 main types of Backup Procedure, "Incremental" and "Full".

Incremental Backups only backup the data that has changed during the time period from when the last backup was taken, so to restore a system that has died will require the initial backup, followed by all of the supplementary backups. 

Full Backups backup the entire contents of either the Hard Drive, or the complete computer.  With a Full Backup, there is a lot of data to store, and this can take a substantial amount of time, and capacity to hold 7 days worth of full backups.

Our recommendation is that you perform 1 full backup on a Friday night, with Incremental Backups on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday night (providing the business is closed at the weekend).

As Backups are such an important issue of ensuring business continuity, we evaluate each customer's needs and requirements and then tailor an individual plan to each customer.

We can also offer a Remote Off-Site backup solution in addition to a client's own backup where a full backup is taken Monday night, with Incremental off-site backups being taken Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night.

This solution provides greatest peace of mind for our clients as they know that they can continue business, even if their building burns down with a 100% loss of Computers and Fileservers.

All they need to do is retrieve the backups and apply them to a new PC, and then they are up and running within hours.
